A beginner class focusing of safety, equipment, four step approach, etiquette, enjoying the game. This class can be adapted to cover all ages and abilities. USBA ‘Basic’ Training Days
The United States Bowling Academy offers year round coaching for bowlers of all ages.
These classes can be designed for Youth Bowlers, Adult Bowlers, Company Team Building / Party, Senior Citizens, Bowlers with Disabilities, and more.
Classes can include but not limited to:
- Safety
- Basic Equipment
- Basic Lane Play
- Basic Spares

For: Competitive Bowlers

Build a Ball Arsenal
For: Competitive Bowlers
This class focuses on building your bowling ball arsenal; how to maintain equipment; and how to match up your equipment to different oil patterns that bowlers will see in competition.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
USBA Training Days for Special Olympics
This class is for bowlers with special needs and their parents/caregivers
This class can be a one day class or as long as a 1 hour class for four weeks.
This class focuses on advancing your Special Olympic bowlers through the Chunked learning techniques (Chunking is small sections of learning with repetition).
This class has reward cards with stickers and stamps for completion and participation certificates for the four week program. This class is a little bit of learning with a whole lot of fun![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
Day Care Class
Organized Chaos
For: Bowlers 3-5 years old
This is a great way to get young kids introduced to bowling. Time is dedicated to safety, one handed, two handed, or between the legs ball delivery for success. High School Bowling Training Day
For: High School Bowler’s (School, Teams, or Conferences)
Focus: First the staff look at each bowler’s equipment. We help determine if each bowler’s ball weight, fit, spans, and pitches are good. The kids would them bowl for a period of time while we chart all the bowlers. We will work in coordination with the high school coaches to point out the positives and the pieces they can work on. We will also help them with a warm up program, a cool down program, and exercises to strengthen their games.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
High School Bowling Coach Training
For: High School Coaches and Youth League Coaches
This class focuses on team energy; drills for strengthening and success; MN High School Bowling Rules; simplified lane play; and personalized spare systems. We will demonstrate the drills and then teach the coaches how to teach the drills.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
All About College Bowling
For: High School Bowers interested in bowling at the collegiate level
Details: Covers how to start your college search, where to start, and at what age. We discuss where college scholarships are hidden and how to discuss potential scholarships with collegiate coaches. The class will also cover how to create a bowling resume for college coaches. The class will wrap up to include discussions on state school vs scholarship schools and apple to apples.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
How To Get Your Youth Bowler To The Highest Level Of Bowling
For: Competitive Youth Bowlers
Details: Includes the steps for success in our industry. We will discuss additional coaching possibilities. It will also discuss getting to national tournaments and national training centers. How To Build Your Leagues Through Counter Marketing and Lanes Valets
For: Bowling center employees; parents; volunteers; and commissioned volunteer valets.
Details: How to create new bowlers through conversation. We will train your staff to learn the talking points that get the attention of your customers. (i.e. mention youth bowling leagues to parents; mentioning mixed leagues to couples; mentioning beer and pizza leagues to a group of guys that are in your center open bowling).[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
Corporate Team Building
For: Employees of a company
Focus: This class is team building through Baker style bowling. It is a great day out away from the workplace to calm the brain after a large project or get the team together to understand what “team” truly means.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
Birthday Class
This class is all about the fun and is great advertising for your center. The instructor helps the bowling class to learn “Baker” bowling and uses the team building instruction. It is a great class for centers to promote their youth leagues. Instructors always advertise all upcoming youth events and discuss scholarships and the benefits of keeping your youth in bowling.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
College Student Class
This class would be a great way to start up a short season college league. This class would be an advertising piece for the center on available leagues and would also be a great piece to offer for dorm and/or sorority/fraternity team building.
