About Coe College Bowling Program

Coe College started their bowling program during the 2020-21 season. Coe is a USBC Collegiate team that has Men’s and Women’s Varsity and JV. Our first season the men’s team advanced to the post season, making them the only first year team in the country to do that during that season.
Coe bowling is a funded program with some of the best training equipment available such as the Strike Seeker, Kegel Torch and Kegel Arrow. Our program competes in 9 – 11 tournaments a season, traveling primarily within Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Nebraska, Kansas and Wisconsin. Our program allows for all types of players and styles. We do not cut players after tryouts. We have travel teams and developmental teams to allow players to get better and make their way to a JV or Varsity team.
About Coe College
Coe College is a residential campus located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa – Iowa’s second largest city – and only hours from several major cities like Chicago, Minneapolis, Omaha, and St. Louis. The approximately 1,350 students enrolled at Coe make up a diverse population, representing more than 33 states and over 15 foreign countries.

- Coe also offers the Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.)
Along with quality instruction from superb faculty, Coe offers an abundance of out-of-class opportunities to provide students with a well-rounded experience and solid preparation for the future. Within six months of graduation, 98% of Coe graduates are working or in graduate school. Within two to three years of graduation, more than 50% of Coe’s graduates go on to do some form of post-graduate study. Typically, this involves law school, medical school or graduate study leading to a master’s degree or Ph.D.
Coe is recognized as one of the most selective colleges in Iowa in terms of selectivity for admission, based on average ACT scores, percent of students in the top 10% of their graduating class, and percent of students in the top 50% of their graduating class. Coe is also one of only five private colleges in Iowa with a Phi Beta Kappa Chapter. Phi Beta Kappa is the most distinguished honor society and colleges selected for the honor are selected on the basis for academic excellence.
The attractive Coe campus, located near the center of Cedar Rapids, has doubled in size in recent years with the addition of new apartment-style residential facilities. The campus features a newly renovated dining hall with multiple food stations, an expanded Stewart Memorial Library, a well-equipped science facility and a modern fine arts center. Coe’s oldest building – Stuart Hall – was rejuvenated to create nearly 36,000 square feet of new and renovated classroom space, laboratories and faculty offices. The renovation has produced a traditional interior look combined with the latest technology and amenities to create an inviting and highly functional academic environment to serve Coe students.
