Over 3500 college bowlers participate each year in college bowling and over 100 colleges and universities offer scholarships. Men and women compete in college bowling at the club level under the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). Women also compete at a varsity level with the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA). The USBC Collegiate program is the governing body for college bowling and encompasses all three of the college athletic organizations. The following colleges have bowling programs and many of them offer college scholarships or reciprocity (in state tuition for out of state students):
